Software Architect

As a Software Architect supporting the Combined Arms Center Headquarters, you will lead enterprise-level architecture, administration, and development for the CAC Online Web Services (COWS) SharePoint environment. You will design, deploy, and sustain critical systems and ensure operational excellence, security compliance, and business continuity. This role requires expert-level proficiency in SharePoint.NET environments, Microsoft technologies, and modern web development tools, with an emphasis on secure, scalable, and maintainable design.

**Must be a U.S. citizen with favorable background investigation and meet DoD IT Level II/III clearance requirements.

WORK SCHEDULE: Start Date: June 23, 2025 | Duration: 7 months

PAY RATE: $39/hour - $45/hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Maintain 24x7 operational readiness for COWS, implement DoD updates and patches, and support incident resolution.

• Develop and maintain documentation including contingency and recovery plans, system deployment and design guides, security plans, and architectural documents.

• Support business continuity planning, disaster recovery, and failover systems for critical operations.

• Provide technical leadership on SharePoint 2021-SPO, Windows Server 2019r2, and web application architecture using DNN EVOQ and .NET frameworks.

• Implement and maintain STIGs, security compliance updates, and system patches.

• Support the Combined Arms Center's transition to enterprise infrastructure and process automation initiatives.

• Provide user support through helpdesk services, instructional content, classroom sessions, and training schedules on Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams.

• Deliver comprehensive reports including weekly activity summaries, system performance metrics, and monthly project status updates.

• Manage databases supporting ArmyU systems, ensuring secure operation, backup, and documentation per DoD standards.

• Support the development, deployment, and maintenance of the CAC public-facing portal and internal web content.

• Participate in stakeholder meetings, prepare and upload meeting notes, and maintain SharePoint-based dashboards.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.

• DoD 8140.03 / DoDD 8570.1M compliant certification (IAT Level II or III).

• AR 25-2 IT Level II clearance level eligibility.

• Certified or equivalent experience with CE - MCSD App Builder.

• Proven experience with DotNetNuke (DNN) EVOQ, Windows Server 2019r2, SharePoint 2021-SPO, and mobile-ready web delivery.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in SharePoint.NET environments, Visual Studio, and application lifecycle management.

• Strong knowledge in web technologies including Flash, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET, SOAP/XML Web Services, Silverlight, and XML technologies (XML, XLST, XHTML).

• Skilled in code testing, debugging, documentation, and version control.

• Preferred: MCSE certification in Windows Server 2019/2012r2.
