We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Project Support Officer to support a high-profile technology program based in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will bring experience in project coordination, vendor and invoice management, reporting, and IT staffing oversight. This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence 1-2 days per week.

COMPENSATION: $55.00 -$60.00 per hour

- Monitor, approve, and if needed, challenge contractor and employee timecards daily
- Review and approve invoices from contractor suppliers
- Generate weekly and monthly project status and billing reports for internal and client stakeholders
- Create billing files for invoicing the client
- Manage embedded resource lifecycle, including onboarding, tracking, and offboarding contractors
- Support communication between vendors, clients, and embedded resources
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, and supervising project staff, including training support
- Develop and maintain operations management procedures and budgets for embedded resources
- Coordinate with other Peraton entities to establish and track vendor purchase orders
- Maintain vendor relationships and participate in performance reviews
- Work independently and escalate issues as necessary
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or related field
- 8-10 years of experience in staffing or project coordination fields
- 3-5 years of project management experience in the IT field
- Excellent customer relationship and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint (admin-level), Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and Beeline platforms
- Experience supporting change management, vendor relations, and team coordination
