Network Cloud Architect
Location: Boca Raton, FL (Onsite/Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-based solutions, including infrastructure, networking, and storage components.
- Design, implement, and manage cloud architectures, focusing on security and VPC design across GCP, Azure, OCI, and AWS.
- Apply a comprehensive understanding of network technologies and concepts. This includes routing, switching, firewalls, and network monitoring and management. Develop, test and upgrade enterprise network architectures within major cloud platforms.
- Develop strategies for hybrid cloud and multi-cloud deployments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Design and engineer network solutions utilizing Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware NSX-T, including complex BGP configurations.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform, to automate and manage infrastructure deployments.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate cloud services, develop and maintain pipelines for efficient code deployment and infrastructure management.
- Participate in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and system optimization activities to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud and network infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Upgrade, patch and maintain the overall network infrastructure upon which the private or hybrid cloud operates.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Work with engineers, architects and IT support teams to establish guides, procedures, training and other documentation for audit and compliance and to sustain the cloud network and its services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 7 years of experience in network architecture, cloud engineering, and infrastructure design.
- Proven expertise in cloud architecture and security, with hands-on experience in GCP
- Extensive knowledge of hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments, with successful implementation and management.
- Proficiency in network technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware NSX-T, and complex BGP configurations.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation with CM Tools, Scripting Languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and experience in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, with a track record of leading and guiding teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in cloud platforms (GCP), networking (Cisco, Palo Alto), and DevOps (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Professional, Terraform Associate).
- Hands on experience in large-scale enterprise environments with a diverse technology stack.
- Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
