What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Global Sourcing NPD position at Fortune Brands Innovations?
This is a hybrid position reporting to FBIN HQ in Deerfield, IL.
RESPONSIBLIITIES:
Lead projects to resource, award components to support sourcing strategies while ensuring all project milestone tasks are completed on-time.
Lead RFQ’s, Supplier selection, negotiations, issue Purchase orders for Design Validation (DV) to PPAP for New Product introductions.
Analyze landed costs, taking into consideration transportation costs, duty rates and tariffs to make informed supplier selection decisions.
Implement category strategies supported by a strong understanding of Water Innovations (WINN)’s strategies, WINN’s competition, and the industry.
Ensure coordination with WINN Platforms and Innovation teams on key project and product development.
Collaborate with functional areas like Master Scheduling, Planning, Manufacturing plants, Distribution Centers and External suppliers to ensure customer expectations are met.
Ensure suppliers comply with WINN’s code-of-conduct program (e.g., Global Citizenship, Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct).
Implement / Execute projects for productivity enhancement, risk mitigation, capability/capacity enhancement. Collaborate with Analytics team to develop category savings approach utilizing the Strategic Sourcing model.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve strategic initiatives by improving supplier performance through the utilization of WINN’s supplier scorecard and the development of continuous improvement action plans as required.
Support the implementation and sustainability of WINN’s Risk Management program—understand supplier capabilities, financial health, operational performance and impact to the business.
Provide the voice of the supply base to WINN while being the voice of WINN to the supply base.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering is required.
One to 2 years of experience in a global sourcing or supply chain environment.
One to 2 years prior project experience working within a cross-functional team to achieve a desired goal.
General knowledge and understanding of relevant manufacturing processes.
ISM or ASCM certification is desirable.
Analytical, negotiating and relationship skills.
Working knowledge of ERP, Microsoft Office Suites.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strategic thinking: ability to be forward-looking, see the possibilities and set a long-term SMART goals.
Must be able to travel up to up to 20% of the time (domestically and internationally) for supplier visits, business audits, and overall category education.
Salary : $49,000 - $86,000
