What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Fortune Brands?
As a Production Supervisor for our Fiberon brand you will be responsible for the management and supervision of your team motivating and recognizing them to produce our quality cladding and decking products with our customer in mind. You will make sure our production goals are met while focusing on safety and quality and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing and have a minimum of 3 years experience in supervision by guiding teaching coaching and mentoring a team of production associates.
This position is in our New London NC plant and is a night shift position working 7 PM 7 AM on a 223 shift meaning you will work 2 days off 2 days work 3 days and off every other weekend.
What you will be doing :
- Supervise the activities and associates engaged in the manufacturing of products within their assigned department and shift.
- Assure key operating metrics are achieved by focusing on safety quality ontime delivery and cost and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
- Create maintain and audit Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and processes.
- Collaborate with associates leaders EH&S and HR to interpret apply and consistently enforce all company policies programs regulations and safety rules.
- Maintain accurate time and attendance records for manufacturing associates.
- Promote clean safe work areas throughout the plant by continuously checking for and resolving hazardous conditions.
- Identify support and guide production associates in continuous improvement activities / initiatives.
- Develop guide and engage manufacturing associates to ensure they have the proper training and support to utilize all equipment and tools.
- Foster an environment with challenging work regular coaching and feedback to manufacturing associates to support and enhance our positive associate relations (PAR) culture.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $63000 USD $95700 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a rolebased sales incentive plan.
