Job Description
As the Senior Director of Operations, you will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across four Fiberon sites. Your leadership will ensure that teams feel empowered, engaged, and supported in delivering operational excellence. With a focus on associate well-being, safety, quality, and efficiency, you will guide multi-site manufacturing operations to drive long-term success for Fortune Brands Innovations and our customers

Position location: This role is based in the New London, North Carolina, area and will oversee multiple sites, including three plants in New London and one plant in Meridian, Idaho. Some travel to the Meridian, ID facility will be required.
What you will be doing
- Lead with vision, guiding Fiberon’s operational strategy to create a thriving, people-centered workplace.
- Champion safety, quality, and efficiency, ensuring teams feel supported in delivering their best work.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, inspiring innovation and shared success.
- Develop and implement thoughtful capacity planning and manufacturing strategies that support long-term growth.
- Empower and support plant leaders, providing guidance and resources to help them succeed.
- Build strong partnerships across teams—including Engineering, Quality, R&D, Sales, Finance, and HR—to align operations with business goals.
- Prioritize smart investments, ensuring capital projects enhance operational impact.
- Drive innovation in manufacturing, working closely with Product Design, R&D, Marketing, and Innovation teams.
- Lead strategic productivity initiatives, creating sustainable improvements that benefit both the business and employees.
- Nurture future leaders by providing meaningful opportunities for growth, mentorship, and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 10 years of progressive operational experience in a global manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in plastic extrusion manufacturing, including process optimization and quality control.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement, safety, health, and environmental requirements within manufacturing, with a proven ability to drive value creation across multiple plant operations.
- Expertise in Six Sigma, Lean, and Continuous Improvement methodologies, leading successful improvement initiatives in multi-plant manufacturing environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience with consolidations, mergers, and acquisitions.
Additional Information
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $200,000 - $262,900 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
