The Inventory Control Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the efficient execution of all inventory control initiatives at Fortune Fish. This position is responsible for supporting and empowering warehouse team members while modeling behaviors that align with the company’s core values. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the execution of all Fortune Fish Inventory Control procedures including daily work order completion, negative inventory lots, and product quality inquiries.
- Audit and reconcile inventory reports by analyzing discrepancies between warehouse reports and the inventory system, including physical counts and credit memos.
- Communicate with all inquiries regarding product shortages and customer satisfaction issues.
- Implement and execute Leader Standard Work (LSW) to ensure completion of all inventory tasks on schedule.
- Collaborate with building leadership to allocate department resources effectively for daily, weekly, and monthly inventory control tasks.
- Serve as the coordinator for customer returns and credits, ensuring all returned inventory is accurately labeled and reallocated for packing and storage.
- Ensure that warehouse team members receive proper training and adhere to Job Instructions (JI) for all inventory control processes.
- Oversee the analysis and management of excess inventory, developing policies in coordination with the product teams, to reduce and control stock levels.
- Utilize PowerBI to monitor and respond to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to receiving, put away, picking, and order fulfillment rates.
- Continue the process and monitor all vendor credits & debits, in partnership with accounting teams.
- Allocate storage space for goods and organize inventory according to specific requirements.
- Ensure inventory verification timelines and cycle counts are executed as scheduled.
- Conduct regular meetings with department employees and leadership to address concerns and guide activities.
- Provide professional, positive leadership to cultivate a collaborative team environment.
- Weekend availability required.
- Must be willing to work multiple shifts as needed to ensure training is completed and LSW tasks are executed.
- 3 years of progressive distribution, seafood industry or retail experience in a fast-paced production environment. Perishable food service experience preferred.
- A demonstrated sense of urgency in meeting critical and time sensitive deadlines.
- Advanced analytical skills using Microsoft Excel. Strong command of Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required. Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred.
