- Management responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, work planning, appraising performance, disciplining, and problem solving.
- Motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to production staff
- Manage operational procedures for incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and appropriately rotating product inventory.
- Ensure quality control standards are enforced and address related issues.
- Communicate product and inventory issues with all departments to ensure customer demand is satisfied.
- Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff
- Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment, per company requirements. Prepare work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment as needed.
- Maintain HACCP and other food quality requirements at or above established company standards.
- Seek continuous improvement opportunities and work with leadership to implement solutions.
- Organizing workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Five years of progressive operations management experience in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- A demonstrated sense of urgency in meeting critical and time sensitive deadlines.
- Some knowledge of seafood– knives skills/filleting
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
- Outstanding communication ability
