Summary of Position :
The Transportation Supervisor will direct and coordinate the fleet operation of Fortune International, LLC – Bensenville division. Responsibilities include, assisting in the recruitment of quality of drivers into the fleet, Managing & assisting drivers, maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and other duties related to DOT compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing safety training on a quarterly or semi-annual basis.
- Manage weekly driver schedule.
- Assist in recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet.
- Help Develop strategies for greater fuel efficiency and managing idle time.
- Maintaining detailed records of PM vehicle servicing and inspection
- Maintaining driver file documents
- Ensuring all renewals stay current (Insurance, Registrations, Medical, CDL)
- Scheduling random drug testing for CDL drivers
- Ensure drivers are complying with U.S. DOT laws and regulations.
- Assist in Complete UCR, IFTA, MCS-150 on annual / quarterly / Bi -annual basis.
- Scheduling roadside service for vehicles when breakdowns occur.
- Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Enforce and abide by company standards, procedures & policies.
- Report and document employee injuries or vehicle accidents
- Investigate and / or contest citations.
- Utilize GPS System to monitor drivers and track vehicles in case of theft.
- Maintain strong relationships and communication links with all departments to facilitate an effective and positive work environment.
- Other corporate projects on request
