Job Overview:
We are seeking a responsible and organized Storage Unit Manager to
oversee the daily operations of our storage facility. The Storage Unit Manager will be
responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness, managing tenant relationships,
overseeing security measures, and ensuring compliance with company policies and
procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong
leadership abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
1. Facility Management:
- Help ensure cleanliness and organization of the storage facility.
- Conduct regular inspections of storage units and common areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- Oversee maintenance and repairs as needed, coordinating with maintenance staff or external contractors
2. Tenant Relations:
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist tenants with leasing agreements, rental payments, and unit access.
- Foster positive relationships with tenants to promote customer satisfaction and retention.
3. Leasing and Marketing:
- Conduct facility tours for potential tenants, showcasing available units and amenities.
- Manage leasing processes, including completing rental agreements, processing payments, and conducting move-in/move-out procedures.
4. Security and Safety:
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard the facility and tenants belongings.
- Monitor surveillance systems and perform regular security patrols of the premises.
- Address security incidents or breaches promptly and appropriately.
5. Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records of tenant information, rental agreements, and payments using management software or databases.
- Prepare and distribute invoices, receipts, and notices to tenants as needed.
- Assist with financial management tasks such as budgeting, expense tracking, and revenue reporting.
6. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations governing the storage industry.
- Stay informed about local ordinances, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements relevant to the operation of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in property management, hospitality, customer service, or a related field is desired.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail..
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
