Job Title : Director of Sales

Location : New York, NY

Position Summary : Fortune Media is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to join our management of advertising sales efforts . This team member will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, managing key client relationships, and overseeing the performance of a sales team. Additionally, this role will manage agency coverage and relations, ensuring strong partnerships and maximizing advertising opportunities . The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the media landscape, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in advertising sales.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, advertising agencies, and industry partners.
  • Manage agency coverage and relations, ensuring strong partnerships and maximizing advertising opportunities.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, editorial, and product development, to create compelling advertising solutions that meet client needs.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions. Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in advertising sales, with at least 5 years in a team leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the media industry.
  • Strong network of contacts within the advertising and media industry.
  • Experience in managing agency relations and coverage.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop innovative sales solutions.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Total Compensation Range (base salary & bonus) : $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 OTE
