Duties & Functions:
- Serve as Executive Committee Member of the Property.
- Conceptualize and execute Food & Beverage venues according to the vision of Forty 1 North.
- Seek out, develop and implement ways to generate incremental revenues
- Spend 80% of day/night in restaurants and other guest areas interacting with guests and the staff.
- Establish and implement training programs for the staff and Food & Beverage Managers
- Lead and provide direction to all employees on the floor during shifts and events
- Consistently monitor quality of service and product delivered in the Restaurant, Events and Room Service.
- Ensure that staff receives consistent and proper communication (monthly meetings, pre-shifts, verbal, email, memos, etc.)
- Maintain staff accountability for giving an Engaging Dynamic Guest Experience based on Hotels Standards.
- Assess employee performance and provide feedback periodically based on hotel standards.
- Consistently collaborate with hourly staff, other managers as well as culinary leadership to improve Food and Beverage variety, quality as well as quality of service levels and delivery.
- Actively engage with all other department heads to improve guest and staff experience.
- Consistently play an integral role in development of the Food & Beverage Management staff.
- Be the Ambassador of the Property, Guest Advocate, Gracious Host and Employee Cheerleader within the Property and the local community.
- Monitor and maintain department financial performance with respect to the budget.
- Manage the staff and management schedules to operate within the budgetary standards while upholding the hotel standards.
- Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels to ensure operational efficiency while meeting the budgetary goals.
- Ensure and promote compliance with all local liquor, health and sanitation regulations
- Develop and implement partnerships within the suppliers.
- Act as the direct liaison to the Engineering and Housekeeping Departments in regards to maintenance and cleanliness of the Food & Beverage space.
