Position Summary

The Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development has overall responsibility for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all sales activities, including business development, market expansion, client relationship management, and revenue growth. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development will be responsible for overseeing the entire sales organization and serve as a key strategic business partner. The successful candidate will be a proven sales executive who is both hands-on and a strategic thinker, able to institute and drive sales discipline and growth plans. He or she will work closely with the senior management team to drive sustainable growth and profitability, ensure the sales integrity of the company, and align sales strategies with our client’s overall corporate objectives across its multi-service portfolio throughout North America.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with corporate objectives.
  • Provide strategic direction for all sales-related activities across all operations.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand client base and service offerings.



Sales Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing clear performance expectations and goals for team members at all levels.
  • Establish sales targets, key performance indicators, and accountability measures for the sales organization.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
  • Ensure alignment of sales team efforts with overall company objectives and values


Market Analysis and Targeting

  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the industrial services sector.
  • Determine strategic market targets across various industries, including petrochemical, energy, manufacturing, and commercial construction.
  • Develop tailored sales approaches for different market segments and client types.

Client Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners at the executive level.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service delivery and relationship management.
  • Proactively identify and address client needs, leveraging data-driven insights to anticipate market trends and deliver tailored solutions.



Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Develop and implement systems for tracking sales performance, market share, and other relevant metrics.
  • Provide regular reports to the CEO and Board of Directors on sales progress, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze sales data to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with other departments such as Operations, Finance, and Marketing to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the digital solutions team to leverage technology for enhancing sales processes and client engagement.
  • Represents our client in industry-recognized organizations, conferences, and events as an active participant and/or in a leadership role.


Candidate Profile

The successful candidate for the Executive Vice President of Sales position will be an accomplished sales executive who is dynamic, strategic, and results-driven. He or she will possess exceptional leadership skills, business acumen, and a proven history of driving revenue growth and market expansion. With a deep understanding of the industrial services sector and a forward-thinking mindset, the EVP of Sales will contribute significantly to the overall business strategy and growth objectives.


This individual will have a keen focus on identifying new market opportunities and optimizing sales processes while working collaboratively across the organization. The EVP of Sales will be a key driver in fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the sales organization, ultimately contributing to the company’s continued success and industry leadership.


The position will be based in Houston, TX.


Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive sales leadership experience in industrial services, construction, or related industries. Demonstrated experience selling nested maintenance, turnaround, and capital construction services across multiple markets.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • Proven history of driving significant revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Extensive knowledge of the industrial services market, including trends, competitors, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
