What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Audit Consultant position at Forvis Mazars, LLP?
We are looking for an experienced internal audit consultant for our leading Credit Union client on a project basis. This role is hybrid with the expectation of 2-3 days per week on-site in Houston, TX and the project is aiming to finish in 3 months.
Responsibilities
- Develop new audit programs and conduct first-time audits following a risk-based audit scope, and testing procedures based on inherent risk factors and quality of controls
- Create automated audit routines and assist with data extraction & analysis
- Provide expert knowledge of consumer compliance regulations and/or consumer lending products & operations
- Demonstrate proficiency with audit management software (TeamMate - preferred), including workflow configuration, documentation standards & reporting capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- 10 years of internal audit experience within the banking/credit union industries.
- Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
