Director of Financial and SEC Reporting - Kentucky (on-site, will require relocation)
We are engaged with a dynamic company in Kentucky that is seeking a Director of SEC Reporting to join the financial leadership team. This position is on-site and some relocation assistance will be provided.
The Director of SEC Reporting should be self-directed and operate with a high level of integrity. He or she will partner closely with executive financial leadership and internal and external auditors to drive the financial reporting process for this US based public company. He or she will support the execution of SEC filings, earnings release reports and internal management reporting. He or she should have a depth of knowledge around developing and implementing accounting processes and policies, maintaining compliance and providing ad hoc reporting around acquisition and disposition accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute the preparation and review of 10-K, 10-Qs, including financial statements and footnotes, obtaining and validating required information and supporting documentation
- Perform technical research around SEC and US GAAP, including preparing memos and white papers
- Develop and present quarterly disclosure committee materials and assist with the preparation of earnings release financial statements and schedules, engaging and providing support on the earnings call
- Utilize lease accounting software to perform and maintain the lease accounting function
- Design and implement sound accounting standards, processes and policies and ensure compliance
- Partner with legal and HR team members to account for equity-based compensation and calculate basic and diluted shares
- Provide requested information as the corporate liaison to the external audit firm
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accountancy
- Licensed CPA
- 5 years of public company audit experience within a Big 4 public accounting or advisory firm
- 3 years of financial/SEC reporting experience in US based public company
Salary : $135,000 - $200,000
