Pursuant to Illinois' Equal Pay Act, the salary range displayed is for the Illinois market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Non-exempt/hourly positions will be eligible for time and half pay for employees that work over 40 hours in a workweek. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), bonuses, profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. How You Will Contribute
- Assisting with managing, developing, and coaching professional staff
- Reviewing detailed audit engagement procedures
- Adequately identifying audit risks and problems through review to ensure audit engagements are completed with defendable files and documentation
- Consistently identifying engagement and operating opportunities for improvement and providing timely solutions and consultation
- Managing multiple concurrent engagements without disruption and within scheduled deadlines
- Providing staff with timely performance feedback
- Managing multiple client relationships, billings, and resource needs
- Building personal referral sources and clientele while actively participating in team marketing opportunities
- Leading audit committee and board meeting presentations
- Participating in speaking and article-writing opportunities
- Completing required Continued Professional Education hours
- Traveling to serve clients as necessary
- An aptitude to recruit and develop firm associates and team members
- Team and engagement management skills
- Innovative ideas to servicing clientele
- Written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate to people of diverse backgrounds and experience levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- An ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment to reach clear-set goals
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 5 years of relevant audit experience
- CPA License
- Experience managing multiple complex client engagements
- Experience with governmental or nonprofit organizations
- Experience with higher education entities
