What are the responsibilities and job description for the Managing Director position at Forvis Mazars?
Forvis Mazars Wealth Advisors, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Forvis Mazars LLP, has an opening for an experienced Retirement Plan Administrator, within its Retirement Plan Consulting practice. This position requires outstanding analytical abilities, attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to provide an extremely high level of service to our clients. How you will contribute:
- Review plan census information to determine eligibility and calculate vesting
- Review plan document provisions to determine if the plan is operating accordingly
- Analyze annual compliance exams for non-discrimination, coverage, and other issues
- Assist with the review and processing of participant distribution and loan requests
- Prepare various governmental filings and notices to plan sponsors and participants
We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:
- Achievement of, or ability to work towards related industry designations
- Demonstrated attention to detail, time management, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to coordinate and work on multiple, concurrent projects
- Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision
- Passion for serving clients
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance
- The ability to work expanded work hours is required from January through April
- At least 10 years of retirement plan administration or accounting experience
- Experience with retirement plan software
- Experience with ERISA documents including amendments, restatements, SPD, and SMM generation
- Contribution calculations (Profit Sharing, Integration, Age-Weighted, Cross-Tested)
- Preparation of annual valuation/compliance reports
- Preparation of Form 5500
Preferred Qualifications:
- QKA, QPA or CPC designations preferred, CPA designation a plus
