As a Federal Tax Specialty intern at Forvis Mazars, you will be responsible for assisting engagement teams with the execution of engagements to identify and support cash-generating tax incentives.Our interns participate in project planning, assist in identifying, quantifying, and qualifying business activities and preparing supporting documentation.

How you will contribute :
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide subject matter knowledge and experience. Industries include but are not limited to manufacturing, technology, retail, and utilities.
Identifying, analyzing, and qualifying value-oriented benefits
Performing tax research related to tax technical topics
Updating and maintaining project milestones and action items
Conducting client interviews, gathering and reviewing client documentation
Substantiating results on consulting projects through presentations and written reports to clients
Assisting in the research & analysis of client data
Organizing incoming documents and files from clients
Providing project status updates to the client and internal stakeholders
Compiling and reviewing project reports
Serving the needs of the client by planning, coordinating, and executing cross-functional projects
Delivering Forvis Mazars' commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients

Minimum Qualifications :
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, other majors might be considered
Ability to travel to client locations, which may include occasional overnight stays (travel expectations vary by service line and office location; talk to your local recruiter regarding specifics)
Ability to work overtime, as needed
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications :
Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)
Data Analytics related coursework is not required but highly desirable
