As a Agricultural Credit Analyst, you’ll analyze financial data and assess creditworthiness specifically within the agricultural sector to support the bank’s lending functions. Your role will involve preparing financial analyses, evaluating loan files, and assisting with compliance and reporting requirements. This position works closely with our ag-lending team to maintain a high standard of service and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial information to evaluate creditworthiness and risks.
- Complete financial loan presentation, reporting results to lending officer(s), and maintain various loan reports.
- Provide timely follow-up on recommendations and resolutions.
- Assist external auditors and ensure compliance with bank policies.
- Maintain tickler systems for tracking key items and deadlines.
- Assist with loan documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an ag credit analysis role or agricultural lending is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of agricultural operations, including crop cycles, livestock, and farming equipment financing is a plus.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
