Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 behavior therapy to children with autism in various settings.
- Utilize tablet software to collect, record, and summarize data on client behavior.
- Implement prescribed interventions as outlined by supervising staff.
- Assist in parent and caregiver training, focusing on achieving client's individual goals.
- Maintain effective communication with parents, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of case dynamics.
- Uphold client confidentiality and maintain a high level of professionalism in all settings.
- Keep records, materials, and instructional tools organized in both home and center-based environments.
Requirements:
- Own personal means of reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of a TB Test and Criminal Background Check.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Behavior Technician, working with behaviorally challenged children with autism or other developmental delays.
- Preferred: BA/BS in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Child Development, Social Work, SLP, Communications, or similar fields.
- Punctuality, responsibility, dedication, friendliness, motivation, and a high level of patience are essential traits.
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting salaries range from $24-28 per hour, depending on experience and education.
- Continuous, practical, hands-on training and supervision provided.
- BCBA student/intern supervision offered.
- Service areas include Pasadena, Burbank, Culver City, Los Angeles, Sherman Oaks, and surrounding areas.
