Job Title: Patient Services Coordinator

About Forward Focus: Forward Focus is a Concierge Internal Medicine Practice in Lake Forest, IL. Central to our practice is a deep commitment to coordination of care, personalized and state of the art medical care, and an emphasis on health wellness and prevention. We pride ourselves on the sense of community our patients experience as well as the ‘family like’ dynamic that defines our team.

Position Summary: We seek a Patient Services Coordinator to provide front line reception and high-quality phone support to patients and provide general administrative and reception support for our concierge practice. The Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring that our patients are treated responsively with care, respect, and patience.

The Patient Services Coordinator role includes the follow responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all patents feel welcomed and cared for.
  • Responsible for onboarding new patients, and connecting with the patients as they integrate into the practice
  • Communicating by phone with patients regarding:
  • Scheduling appointments for various office visits, including annual physical exams
  • Providing reminder calls for upcoming appointments
  • Answering phone calls, collecting information to direct to the appropriate staff
  • Conducting various administrative tasks:
  • Scanning, emailing, faxing, etc.
  • Collecting office visit fee
  • Confirming patient demographics and insurance are current
  • Providing other key areas of support to our team

The successful candidate should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Familiarity with an electronic medical record system is ideal, but not required
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility and adaptability in working with nurses, physicians, other team members, and patients
  • Excellent communications skills, especially on the phone
  • Experience determining whom to direct phone calls and inquiries
  • Experience juggling a variety of tasks patiently and calmly
  • Ability to connect with patients on a personal level, understanding their concerns and working to address their needs
  • Highly organized with careful attention to detail and follow-through
  • Open to receiving feedback and to learning from others
  • Enjoy working within a team and working independently
  • Commitment to the Forward Focus culture of high quality, personalized patient care

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimally two years work experience.

Schedule:

  • M-Th - 8 am to 4 pm: Friday 8 am to 3 pm

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
