Forward Slope Inc. currently has one (1) full-time opening for a Principal Systems Engineer IV. This is a full-time on-site position in San Diego under our Software Solutions group.
Job Description:
Forward Slope, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic hands-on systems engineer to provide sustainment of full-stack web applications for the Department of Defense (DoD). Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to support mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently hold an active U.S. security clearance or be able to obtain one.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics
- 10 years of demonstrated full-stack software development experience with:
- Designing modern web services using Spring and Node.js
- Designing and testing NoSQL databases
- Implementing and testing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and REST services
- Source Code Management using git
- Containerization and orchestration technologies (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Working with applications in a headless GNU/Linux environment
- 5 years demonstrated experience leading software development teams, including:
- Establishing software architecture that aligns with requirements and best practices
- Overseeing development tasking and software deliveries
- Supervising and mentoring software developers
- Ensuring developed capabilities meet requirements
- Agile software development experience (i.e., Scrum, XP)
Desired Qualifications:
- Software engineering experience with:
- Automated testing (i.e., Selenium, RobotFramework)
- CI/CD automation tools (i.e., Jenkins, Tekton)
- Static Application Security Testing (i.e., SonarQube, Anchore)
- Google Protocol buffers
- MongoDB
- AWS EKS and Docker Swarm
Salary Range:
- $140,000-$185,000*
