What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-CDL Box Truck - Local Pick-Up & Delivery position at Forward?
Forward is looking for carrier partners to service routes in the Saginaw, MI area. Pickups and deliveries will be palletized freight going to / from commercial and residential areas. Routes are generally 80 / 20 commercial to residential on average [this varies as needed, routes are determined daily depending on volume]. Location : Saginaw, MI Compensation : $2,000 - $2,300 per wk
- Based on average stop count completion of 50-60 stops / week
- Schedule : Monday - Friday, weekends if necessary (notification should be provided) Duties & Responsibilities :
- Delivering items in a timely, accurate, and safe manner
- Ability to safely maneuver items with appropriate equipment and / or assistance from another person
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to comprehend and utilize mobile dispatching technology
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to make an average of 14 stops per day Requirements :
- 24ft-26ft box truck with a lift gate. Can be a truck that you own, rent or lease
- Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
- Active MC authority and DOT number with the FMCSA (6 months minimum)
- Must be 21 years of age
- TSA Certified (Or willing to become certified)
