Description
Forza Steel has been a top tier manufacturer of API and mechanical grade tubing for over twenty years in Mexico and are excited to now be moving into the United States. We will be manufacturing electric resistance welded mechanical and API steel tubing in our state-of-the art facility in Brownsville, Texas.
We are in search of Production Operators that have steel tubing manufacturing experience. To qualify, you must be drug-free, self-motivated, good communication skills, work well in a team-based environment, reliable and have a high level of mechanical aptitude. Prior tube mill operations experience is a plus.
SUMMARY:
The Production Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and adjusting the mill equipment in accordance with the appropriate pipe production plan.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set-up, operate, and adjust parameters of welded tube mill equipment and tooling to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Performs dimensional and visual inspection of product throughout the shift to ensure quality of product.
- Ability to use and read precision measuring equipment (i.e., micrometers, Vernier calipers, tape measure)
- Visually inspect tubing for quality defects and reject non-confirming product.
- Complete daily inspection reports.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance as needed on equipment.
- Generate production tags.
- Provide training and support to other mill crew personnel.
- Perform other duties and assignments as assigned by management.
- Make dimensional checks and monitor flash and make adjustments to equipment as necessary

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to push, pull, bend, kneel, squat and twist
- Must be able to stand for more than 10 hours
- Must be able to work overtime as needed to support customer requirements.
- Must be available to work unscheduled overtime.
- Ability to work well with co-workers
