What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Assistant position at Forza?
Looking for a detail oriented person who has an interest and is passionate about purchasing. This is a key role in the purchasing department, responsible for ensuring product is onsite in a timely manner.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage assigned commodities and release purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner in support of end user requisitions, the master production plan, or sales forecasts.
- Negotiate with suppliers on price increases and communicate all increases to the sales team
- Case management for vendors for returned/damaged/faulty goods
- Contact vendors and suppliers for quotations and follow up on outstanding purchase orders.
- Sort Invoice Discrepancies with Vendors
- Manage VRMA's & Credits w/ Vendors
- Check order history and purchase history to ensure correct levels of stock
- Source & Coordinate incoming freight
- Review & Manage Data Integrity
- Complete Monthly/Weekly/Daily cadence of reports in timely manner
- Manage Data required by sales for reports and ensure it is kept up to date
- Update CofA's and CofC into Netsuite
- Ensure SDS for Raw Materials are on hand and up to date
- Input new items into ERP System
- Manage Consumables Inventory & Replenishment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience and some knowledge of the purchasing processes involved in manufacturing
- Detail and task oriented
- Willingness and ability to communicate
- Task and deadline oriented
- Adaptable to change
- Self motivated and self driven
- Able to see the big picture. Look long term with a "business owner" mindset
- Process driven and/or willing to follow set out process's
- Comfortable with change and fast moving environment
