Responsibilities
- Operate and control the crane to transport, load, and unload materials for processing.
- Ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials around the facility, adhering to all operational and safety guidelines.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections on the crane to identify and report any potential malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain a smooth workflow and optimize productivity.
- Monitor and follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to equipment or materials.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the crane to ensure its optimal performance and longevity.
Requirements
- Experience as a Crane Operator, preferably in an industrial or metal recycling setting.
- Understanding of crane operation techniques, safety practices, and relevant equipment maintenance.
- Physically able to sit for extended periods, climb heights, and withstand exposure to outside weather conditions.
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
