Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Address and resolve employee concerns promptly while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with employees at all levels to promote engagement and retention.
Training & Development:
- Develop and implement tailored training programs, including onboarding, leadership development, safety protocols, and industry-specific skills.
- Collaborate closely with department heads to understand operational needs and create targeted training solutions.
- Design creative and impactful training initiatives for all positions, ensuring they align with industry standards and company goals.
- Develop leadership training programs that cultivate strong, capable managers.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Work in partnership with the location managers and regional managers to integrate HR practices that reinforce a culture of safety and compliance.
Talent Acquisition & Retention:
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including for hard-to-fill positions such as diesel mechanics and field technicians.
- Implement innovative initiatives to boost employee retention and satisfaction, ensuring alignment with the company’s values and long-term goals.
HR Operations:
- Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions, including benefits administration, payroll coordination, performance management, and employee records.
- Leverage HR software and tools to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.
Leadership & Strategy:
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, contributing to company-wide initiatives and long-term planning.
- Lead HR projects, such as the creation and implementation of "Foss University," to support employee growth and development.
Culture Building:
- Foster a workplace culture that embodies our core values: Honesty/Integrity, Accountability, Hard Work, Customer Service, and Teamwork.
- Lead efforts to enhance employee engagement and build a strong sense of community across all locations.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or recycling industries.
- Bi-lingual proficiency is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering impactful training programs.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, safety regulations, and HR best practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with employees at all levels.
- Hands-on, solution-oriented approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with HR software platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, non-traditional environment that values innovation and adaptability.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
