Position Purpose:
The part-time Supervisor is responsible for collaborating with the school Assistant Manager to support business unit enrollment and customer engagement strategies and plays a role in supporting staff; ensuring high quality Swim Path curriculum; and ensuring optimal pool and facility standards.
Main Responsibilities as a Supervisor:
Teacher Support
- Support Non-Exempt employees during assigned shifts
- Build trusted and effective relationships to advance an organizational culture that lives the FOSS purpose and values
Execute Business Objectives
- Supervise certain personnel during assigned shifts
- Support managers in set goals
Customer Service
- Be a FOSS Brand Ambassador
- Build relationships with customers to create loyalty and excitement for the FOSS brand, purpose, programming, and community
Facility Care
- Uphold facility cleanliness standards
POSITION SPECIFIC TRAINING:
We like to make learning fun and have designated training cohorts to set you up for success. These cohorts provide a structured training schedule and allows you to learn and have fun with your team!
*Attending both training days/times for the full cohort session is required.
Cohort 1: June 16 – July 6
- 1a: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:30pm – 7:30pm
- 1b: Saturdays & Sundays from 9:00am – 1:00pm
Cohort 2: July 7 – July 27
- 2a: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:30pm – 7:30pm
- 2b: Saturdays & Sundays from 9:00am – 1:00pm
Qualifications:
- At least one (1) year of employment with FOSS preferred, not required.
- Must obtain American Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification within the first 90 days of employment, be required to adhere to American Red Cross standards outlined in the certification requirements and maintain an active certificate throughout tenure in the role. Please note that FOSS will pay the costs for both the initial and renewal certifications.
- Experience in retail, health and fitness, restaurant, or other related experience preferred.
- Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to participate in organizational, employee or community engagement events as necessary.
- Successfully Complete Position Specific Training.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information, possess a high degree of personal integrity and sound judgment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions: (if applicable)
- Ability to work in water and demonstrate the physical movements necessary to teach the FOSS Swim Path curriculum.
- Work in an indoor pool facility that will be warm and humid with water temperatures up to 91 degrees.
- Ability to work in areas exposed to noise, chemicals, and industrial equipment and supplies.
- Speak with others, including children, using clear, professional, and age-appropriate language.
- Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 15 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
- Review documents, computer monitors or displays with potentially small print.
- Operate a computer, handheld device such as an iPad, phone and other common office tools or controls.
- Mentally focus on tasks and apply sound reasoning and judgement.
Compensation Details:
