Job Description

Foster Garvey PC is looking for a full-time Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate would be committed to excellent customer service with our administrative departments, attorneys, and firm leadership. They would be a team player with experience in financial reporting and analysis in a professional services organization, and a curiosity to uncover the story behind the numbers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Prepare reports including monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements as well as forecasting, modeling, and monitoring KPI's.
This role will be instrumental in creating and implementing upgraded automated reporting to replace current legacy system. Experience with Power BI preferred.
Interface directly with attorneys and firm leadership by providing ad hoc analyses and recommended actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses and assessing impact.
Support the annual budgeting process, and quarterly monitoring of budget variances throughout the year including routine bridge analysis for variance tracking.
Collaborates cross-functionally both within the department and throughout the firm.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :

Solid analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills including forecasting, building models and dashboards, and identifying and assessing KPIs.

Strong and adaptable communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys, firm leadership and staff, and the ability to build trust and be a valued partner with all internal clients.

Self-motivated, pro-active and responsible individual able to work under minimal supervision with the ability to problem solve, learn and grow.

Highly organized with great attention to detail, able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.

Experience with large-scale accounting software (Aderant preferred), comfortable with the MS Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel. Experience with SQL and SSRS Reporting platform preferred.

Advanced financial modeling skills.

Advanced written and oral communication skills.

Able to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information a must.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or other related field required. MBA or equivalent preferred.

5-10 years of financial analysis experience, legal or professional services organization experience is preferred.

Strong familiarity with accounting principles.

Extensive experience building, modifying, maintaining, and reviewing financial models in Microsoft Excel.

Salary Range

The pay range for this position is $91,300-$118,571 annually; however, actual pay may vary depending on the candidate's education, training, experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
