Project Kick Off
Provide input to PM for CPM schedule
Provide input to PM for various project plans & submittals
Experience in civil / underground, structural concrete and CalTrans experience.
Attend preconstruction meeting
Liaison with all site utilities providers and setup all temporary facilities
Overall responsibility for project mobilization including providing direction to project support regarding all tools & equipment needed
USA & pothole the site as needed including thorough documentation
Implement SWPPP measures
Coordinate with and responsible for survey & layout
Project Execution
Capable of running a large project
Expected to be knowledgeable, curious, and studious regarding all aspects of the construction of water & wastewater facilities
Assist the PM in developing the plan and direction for the work on the project
Prepare weekly wish lists that reflect equipment & manpower requirements
Prepare three week look ahead schedules for weekly meetings
Sets the overall direction for the crews on the project implementing the work plan, helping to trouble shoot and provide direction for field foreman & crews
Job site hiring and dismissal of field personnel
Responsible for written discipline of job site employees
Monitor project budgets, accountable for the profitability of the projects
Creating weekly timecards through Procore including proper phase codes for work performed on time and accurate
Perform the work in accordance with the CPM schedule and with the PM ensure that the project is on or ahead of schedule, over billed and with a positive % billed vs. % time ratio
Help as needed with the processing of submittals
Create, log & track RFIs
Create, log, track PCOs including daily work tags filled out accurately, timely and signed by the client representative
Ensure that the work is performed in accordance with the contract documents including RFIs, COs and engineer’s written directives
Maintain for record drawings and documentation including all pothole data, RFIs, COs & engineer’s written directives
Ensure that apprentices are requested in accordance with DAS 140 requirements
Author some project related correspondence as needed
Responsible for field purchasing of materials, tools & supplies
Responsible for scheduling & coordinating subcontractors and enforcing subcontract terms & conditions
Assist as needed in maintaining the bill of materials, ensuring that all materials are on site as scheduled for the work
Attend and as necessary conduct job site meetings with owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and employees
Conduct weekly safety meetings, safety sweeps and JHAs including documentation
Maintain SWPPS including training, sampling, inspections, and documentation
Responsible for maintaining all job site safety including first aid kits, PPE, notifications & posters, MSDS & IIPP
Responsible for training and assisting project engineers, foreman and job site administrative staff
Responsible for ensuring safe work practices including preplanning and engineering measures for safety
Work with PM & support to ensure that the correct equipment (including form systems) is on site, maintained and appropriately utilized minimizing rentals and maximizing productivity
Responsible for managing the foreman & crews in all their duties relative to the project
Responsible for housekeeping and ensuring that the operations are well planned and effectively & efficiently implemented (i.e., handling excavated material one-time, proper layout, limited rework, appropriate shoring & dewatering etc.)
Ensure that the project is built in accordance with the contract documents and industry standards and functions for its intended use
Ultimately responsible with the PM for everything that happens on your project
