Foster Logistics is looking to hire a full-time Inventory Control Specialist! This position will be responsible for the day-to-day verification of inventory accuracy to ensure inventory is accurately received, stored, and shipped.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates our Company Core Values.
- Teams and works closely & cohesively with management on inventory related projects.
- Monitors inventory and identifies inconsistencies or discrepancies.
- Performs regular physical inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Assists with inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date inventory records and documentation.
- Identifies any potential inventory discrepancies, damage, etc. and reports to management. In addition, records and reports the damage in writing, also updating the WMS system to reflect this.
- Responsibility of managing all damaged product, including the documentation and reporting requirements involved.
- Responsibility for inbound and outbound order verifications process.
- Responsible for customer required processes and projects ensuring customer guidelines and specifications are followed, the processes and projects monitored, and reporting requirements/documentation take place.
- Ensures compliance with safety and legal standards in storage and handling of inventory.
- General housekeeping to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Required Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum two years of experience in inventory control or similar role.
- Minimum two years of forklift experience.
- Prior WMS experience.
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow all procedures relating to shipping and receiving forms.
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Must be team oriented.
- Must have a good knowledge of arithmetic functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be familiar with Outlook or similar email system and be able to compose an email following proper etiquette.
- Must have prior experience with Excel and be able to promptly and accurately deliver spreadsheet reports as requested by management.
