Position Title : Athletic Trainer
Reports to : Athletic Director
Job Objectives
Provide proper care for athletes and ensure all injuries are handled appropriately.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certified as an Athletic Trainer
- Experience preferred but not required
- Dedicated to the safety and educating our youth to practice a lifelong healthy lifestyle

Provide proper care for injured athletesAttend meetings and in-service as requiredCollaborate with colleaguesEstablish cooperative relationships with local hospitals, rehabilitation centers, etc.Ensure safety of studentsEvaluate each student's growth in physical skills, flexibility, power, strength, and speed developmentMaintain accurate and complete records as requiredMaintain control of storage and use of school-owened propertyMantain respect at all times for confidential informationMonitor locker room for safety and securityProvide guidance to students to promote their healthy developmentTake necessary and reasonable precautions to protect equipment, materials, and facilitiesRespond to routine questions and requests in a timely, appropriate mannerEstablish and maintain cooperative professional relationshipsFollow all athletic and Board policiesOther Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
Upholds board policies and follows administrative procedures.Promotes a favorable image of the school district.Respects personal privacy. Maintains the confidentiality of privileged information.Reports evidence of suspected child abuse as required by law.Takes precautions to ensure student safety. Does not leave students unsupervised. Reports unauthorized persons or suspicious circumstances immediately.Participates in after-school programs (e.g., open houses, etc.) as directed.Complete required training by appropriate deadlines (Vector, Gifted, Science of Reading, etc.)Accepts responsibility for personal decisions and conduct. Under the direction of the Athletic Director : provides instructions and communicates expectations to assigned
staff, temporary employees, and trainees. Monitors and helps assigned staff successfully accomplish delegated duties.
