We are looking for a Director, Finance Business Partner for Established Medicines to join our growing team. This is a 6-month contract position with a possible conversion to permanent role. The position will be closely aligned with the business unit to foster a dynamic partnership with both Operations and Finance Management. The candidate will support in Budgeting/Forecasting and Month end activities for Established Medicines. They will be responsible for generating business insights and analyses along with facilitating the budgeting and forecasting processes. The position will collaborate with Senior Leadership stakeholders and team members across multiple disciplines including Accounting, Finance and others. The successful candidate is a business partner with a solid understanding of the company’s business model, strategy and operations. They should be able to identify key drivers of value and risk to provide relevant insights that support decision making. The incumbent must have sound analytical skills, a strategic mindset and the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear, concise manner.

• Develop strong partnerships with the business to ensure accurate and timely resource allocation planning, budget forecasting, financial measurement tracking and month or quarter-end closing.
• Demonstrate commercial savvy by understanding the new product launch process and identify key financial enablers to support effective resource planning and decision-making.
• Partner with Established Medicines on key GTN assumptions and analytics. This includes performing periodic GTN variance analysis.
• Collaborate closely with Established Medicines, BD and HQ in China to support to shape and develop the business collaboration model, achieving sustainable and long-term growth for the organization.
• Analyze business reports and financial data, with a thorough understanding of US tax regulations, GAAP and IFRS.
• Use data leveraging MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and financial/reporting systems to drive transparency in reporting, working with business leaders to understand spending and drive efficiencies.
• Support the Budget/forecasting and LCM process by managing communications and keeping forecast up to date.
• Act as a liaison among different departments to support cross-functional initiatives if needed.
• Analyze reports and company KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) to make informed recommendations based on the results.
• Other ad-hoc analysis, department financial planning or business planning tasks/projects as required. This may include analyzing current financial processes and recommend improvements and optimizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, MBA and/or valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred
• 10 years of finance experience required, with at least 5 years in the Generic Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry
• Must have very strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written & presentations) demonstrating the ability to effectively summarize critical information into clear, concise, and insightful updates for senior leadership
• Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in supporting new product launches
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, analysis and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, stakeholder management and risk management
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Passionate about business excellence and continuous improvement in a cost-effective environment
• Highly self-motivated, diligent, with excellent follow up skills
• Highly agile, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously, including generating ad-hoc management analyses to support business decisions
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
