Join our Foth team as a Project Electrical and Controls Engineer and partner with clients to introduce electrical and controls problem-solving and optimization. Depending on your skillset and background, you could be supporting clients in our food and beverage, paper, consumer goods, or Serial 1 Automation markets. This role offers excellent career growth opportunities while being exposed to challenging and rewarding projects. This position will be working out of our Green Bay, Wisconsin office location.
\n- Provide technical hardware and software design leadership for industrial projects
- Develop design packages for bid and construction
- Coordinate and execute design and programming of PLC/DCS, HMI, VFD and Servo Motion projects from hardware design and software integration through construction start-up
- Coordinate electrical engineering and lead design/CAD resources
- Provide hardware and software design for machine design projects in consumer products and general industrial markets
- Create project documentation including schedules, specifications, and cost estimates
- Produce high quality project deliverables while working in a collaborative team environment
- Gather data and provide installation, start up, and troubleshooting support
- Work simultaneously on multiple project and client teams
- Respond and support project and client requests for on-going controls troubleshooting, including ongoing support of production equipment (may include nights and weekends)
- Ability to interface directly with client(s) as required
- Travel to client sites and Foth office locations as needed for work (approximately 35% annually)
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a combination of two- or four-year technology degree supplemented with equivalent technical training or experience
- 5 years of relevant engineering/design experience
- Rockwell Control Logix based PLC and FTView HMI hardware & Software
- Electrical system design schematics and control panel layout design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
