Responsible for the daily shift operations of the Housekeeping Department. Assigns work to team members to ensure guestrooms, public space, and team member areas are clean and well maintained. Completes inspections and works with the Guest Experience Manager to hold our team members accountable. Assists in ensuring guest and team member satisfaction while maintaining the operational and service standards.
Responsibilities:
· Supervises Housekeeping Operations and Budgets.
· Assigns rooms to Room Attendants and conducts pre-shift meetings to outline daily priorities for the team.
· Supervises daily housekeeping shift operations and ensures compliance with all brand and company housekeeping policies, standards, and procedures.
· Communicates areas that need attention to team members and follows up to ensure understanding.
· Inspects guestrooms daily. Ensures an appropriate number of documented room inspections happen and are reviewed with the housekeeping staff.
· Verifies that guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner.
· Maintains positive communication with the Front Desk.
· Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by supporting team development.
· Trains staff on proper equipment use and maintenance to ensure efficiency and safety of all team members.
· Verifies all team members have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
· Inventories stock and works with the GM to place orders while working within the operating budget.
· Participates in departmental meetings and continually communicates a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired results.
