- Foundation Academies offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position with yearly increases. The annual salary range for this position is $60,500 - $90,000.
- Directing the school choir, providing individual and group vocal instruction, and preparing scholars for performances
- Supporting music education across various programs, helping scholars explore a range of musical instruments and genres
- Maintaining and organizing music materials and equipment for the choir and general music programs
- Collaborating with colleagues to support a school-wide culture of excellence through music
- Creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where scholars feel inspired to express themselves through music
- Engaging with families and community members during school events, concerts, and other musical initiatives
- 2 years working in an urban setting (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
- NJ certification or eligibility in Music Education
- A proven track record of building successful music programs, particularly choral and general music education
- A passion for developing critical thinking, creativity, and cultural awareness through music
- A commitment to fostering an anti-discriminatory, inclusive environment for all scholars
- Semifinalist candidates will provide unofficial transcripts, certification evidence, and 3 professional references
