Summary
The Floor Manager position assists in the management of sales activities of the dealership to ensure that the dealership meets its new and/or used vehicle unit and gross objectives on a daily, monthly, and annual basis. The Floor Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and measuring the activities of the new and/or used sales department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists the Sales Manager to train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all sales people and manages sales staffing and training (including on the job training) in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs.
- Assists with sales meetings.
- Serves as liaison between sales department and other departments.
- Meets annual and monthly objectives for new/used unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.
- Maintains used vehicle inventory.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Reviews market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs and volume potential.
- Assists in the development of sales campaigns and advertising to accommodate the goals of the dealership.
- Monitors salespersons productivity and performance daily, monthly, and annually by projected income.
- Ensures that sales people are following established sales and prospecting program to obtain optimum results.
- Displays merchandises and promotes used vehicle.
- Develop and convey a high level of automotive product knowledge.
- Adhere to and enforce dealership policies and procedures established by the corporate office as well as the general manager.
- Safeguard dealership assets and customer data.
- Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
- Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Foundation Automotive brand.
- Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
