Position Overview
The Field Service Technician specializes in a Hollow Metal Doors & Frames, Architectural Wood Doors and Frames, and Finish Hardware and assisting in servicing, installation and repairs of these essential building components.
Key Responsibilities
Install, Service and Adjust commercial man doors and frames to operate correctly and according to applicable Building Codes
Apply hardware to doors, such as drilling holes to install locks, closers & exit devices.
Install new or repair/replace worn or broken door parts, using hand tools
Must be proficient in welding hollow metal doors and frames to perform on site repairs and modifications to hardware preparations
Must have experience in repairs and modifications to wood doors and frames
Perform work in buildings both occupied and under construction
Perform work to a high-quality standard with minimal to no supervision
Communicate effectively with our customers
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
Remove waste materials daily
Be familiar with specifications, shop drawings, hardware schedules, blueprints and schematic diagrams in order to determine appropriate methods of installing or repairing doors and hardware
Complete required daily paperwork, such as time sheets, daily reports, work orders
Provide your own hand tools and keep in good working order
Must possess valid driver’s license with good driving record
Must be willing to travel within state as needed.
Education/Certifications
High School diploma or equivalent technical or vocational training
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience as in construction trade, maintenance, or repair
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
General knowledge of Hollow Metal Doors & Frames, Architectural Wood Doors and Frames, and Finish Hardware products, systems
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines.

Physical Demands
Over two-thirds of the time is spent in a standing position, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands, and reaching. Approximately one-third of the time is allocated to walking and engaging in conversations or hearing.
Frequent lifting of items weighing between 25 to 85 pounds is necessary
Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
Requirements
After receipt of conditional offer of employment, must be able to pass drug screen/physical/background check.
