Position Overview
The Manufacturing Layout Engineer is responsible for listing all hollow metal doors and frames. Ensures that listing is accurate and easy for manufacturing to read and understand. Supports manufacturing and ensures that established deadlines are met. Keeps management well informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
Key Responsibilities
Enter shop drawing information into the software.
Analyze elevations and material profiles to ensure software output is conducive to efficient manufacturing methods
Ensures hardware templates are accurately interpreted and programmed into software; relative to each part to ensure intended manufacturing tolerances and methods.
Assesses manufacturing criteria relative to shop output; bend deductions, shear sizes, jig selection as required, reinforcements, material gauge selection etc.
Program elevations accurately to ensure efficient machine utilization/optimization and tool selection to properly produce parts.
Education/Certifications
High school Diploma or equivalent with two years of additional computer training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience
1-2 of related programming experience.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of software applications.
Understanding of related programming languages and procedures.
Location
This position requires an onsite presence at our Port Washington, NY office

Compensation
Base $70,000-$90,000/Annually.
Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, education, training, and/or experience.
