What are the responsibilities and job description for the Make Ready position at Foundation Communities Inc?
Position Description: The Make Ready Technician position will ensure all vacated apartments are thoroughly restored to market ready status. This position will assist with work orders, exterior projects when needed and clean grounds, remove litter and debris from all areas of the property (areas include: common areas, laundry rooms, dumpster area, general grounds, and walkways to, from and in between buildings on a daily basis).
Primary Duties/ Responsibilities
- Remove litter and debris daily from all areas of the property
- Responsible for ensuring unit is ready to lease within the assigned time frame
- Trash out vacated apartments
- Assist in cleaning and maintenance of storage rooms
- Distribute resident communications as directed
- Check emails to stay abreast property and organization communications
- Provide excellent customer service to all residents
- May be required to work at other Foundation Communities properties in the Austin area as needed
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma/ equivalent OR 1 year of practical experience with demonstration of required skills
- Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.
- Make-ready experience helpful with good understanding of pools, plumbing, electrical
Preferred Requirements
- Fair housing training and certification for Apartment Maintenance Technician
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements
Working Conditions
An occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials can be expected. May be asked to clean up bodily fluids with appropriate training and personal protective equipment provided.
Physical Requirements
CONSTANTLY: standing/walking, bending/stooping/squatting, pushing/pulling, grasping/gripping, reaching above the shoulder, climbing, lifting between 0 and 25 pounds.
FREQUENTLY: coordination of hand/eye/foot, finger dexterity, lifting between 26 and 50 pounds.
May be required to provide coverage/help at other supportive housing communities as needed.
Compensation
18.02 /hour
