We are seeking qualified Nurse Practitioners to function as a health care provider in an outpatient setting Organize and present historical and physical data, together with evaluations and recommendations, to the healthcare team providing evidence-based care, including but not limited to diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative health care.
Key Responsibilities:
· Obtain complete medical history from patients and perform comprehensive and focused physical examinations appropriate for patient population.
· Synthesize data and utilize evidence to develop, implement, and evaluate the patient plan of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies/results.
· Organize and present historical and physical data, together with evaluations and recommendations, to the healthcare team to clearly identify a medical problem and determine appropriate diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
· Participate in medical team rounds and in quality monitoring thru the review of records and treatment plans for patient outcomes.
· Educate patients and answer questions regarding their disease, treatments, related drug and treatment side effects and hazards.
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program. Graduate education and related Florida Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.
· At least 1 year post clinical experience with strong assessment skills.
· Proficient use of EMR in the delivery of care
Licensure/Certification:
· Current and unrestricted Florida licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in State of practice (APRN).
· Board Certification in Family or Adult/Geriatric Primary Care
· Basic Life Support (BLSA) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified by the American Heart Association or Red Cross for Advanced Practice Providers.
