Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is looking for Pharmacy Tech IIs to join the Inpatient team!
This position will work under the supervision of the pharmacist. Performs routine duties in packaging, distribution and record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. Assists in preparing compounded and intravenous medications, total parenteral nutrition products, and hazardous medications. Consistently demonstrates an ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives, and choose the appropriate course of action. May educate, train, and oversee the activities of the Technician Apprentices, Pharmacy Technician I, and volunteers. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the patients.
*Requires State of Alaska Pharmacy Technician License and Pharmacy Technician Certification
Pay & Benefits:
- Compensation: $23.53 to $36.76 hourly wage based on experience and education
- Additional Pay: Shift Differential, Annual Increases, Paid Time Off

- Shift Available:- Full-time (40 hours/week) with 5x8 hour shifts. Varied schedule includes rotating morning/day shifts, evenings, weekends, and occasional night shifts
Shift Differentials Available: $2.00/hr. Weekend- $2.50/hr. Evening - $3.50/hr. Night

Responsibilities
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
Qualifications
- Requires pharmacy technician licensure in the state of Alaska upon hire. Pharmacy technician certification required (CPhT or ExCPT).
- Requires one (1) year of pharmacy experience or knowledge typically obtained within one year of experience
- Must possess good organizational, problem solving, math and computer skills. Must have good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and other contacts. May be required to possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company’s auto insurance policy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- National certification pharmacy technician experience. Knowledge of medication management information system software and automated dispensing systems.
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
