What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Intervention Developmental Specialist position at Foundation Intervention Services?
The Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist (ITDS) provides home-based early intervention services to children birth to three years of age who have been identified with a specific delay. The Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist will work with the parent/caregiver and child by providing strategies, guidance, and support to help the child reach their full potential.
REQUIREMENTS
Have an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist (ITDS) Certificate
or
Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited College/University in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Child & Family Development, Family Life Specialist, Communication Disorders, or Psychology. And a minimum 1 year Post Degree profession experience in early intervention birth- 3 years in field working with special needs . Drivers license required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- provide weekly/ biweekly home visits
- provide resource and referral information as needed
- maintain client files, monthly travel logs, and progress notes
