Position: Armed Security Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol and Protection: Perform routine patrols to deter potential threats and respond to incidents.
- Armed Response: Carry and maintain proficiency in the use of assigned firearms in compliance with all regulations and safety standards.
- Emergency Handling: React quickly and effectively to emergencies, coordinating with local law enforcement as needed.
- Detailed Reporting: Prepare detailed incident reports, maintaining accurate records and logs of all activities.
- Conflict De-escalation: Utilize communication skills to calmly diffuse tense situations, ensuring a safe resolution.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Valid DPSST Armed and Unarmed security license
- Completion of firearms training and certification
- Ability to pass an extensive background check and drug screening
- Military or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required
General Qualifications for Position:
- Ballistic Vest: Must possess or be willing to acquire a minimum Level IIIA ballistic vest before start date.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- High level of integrity and reliability
- Willingness to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
