Position Summary
Foundation Software, provider of construction software and services and one of Northeast Ohio's top workplaces, seeks a permanent, full-time Technical Writer , responsible for creating and updating user documentation, including online help, user guides, tutorials, release notes, and in-person training materials. You will work closely with Project Managers, Programmer / Analysts and the QA team.
Creates and maintains user documentation, on-line help, and internal training materials. Analyzes modifications and enhancements to the application. Works closely with Quality Assurance to ensure that the documentation is accurate.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Translate technical information into user-friendly and grammatically correct content.
- Prepare / maintain software documentation for users for all formats, including on-line help.
- Prepare / maintain support documentation and training materials.
- Create and send email communications to clients, announcing software updates, maintenance windows and required actions.
- Report quality issues discovered during creation of documentation to Quality Assurance Analysts.
- Perform all duties in a professional, responsive, and collaborative manner with coworkers and supervisors
- Maintain literacy and up-to-date research on all programs and modifications.
- Project a positive, cooperative image as a representative of the company aiding associates, clients and other third parties whenever possible.
- All other duties as assigned.
