What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager position at Foundations For Independence?
Managers are responsible for creating and supporting a teamwork environment that is productive and friendly. It is your position to ensure you and your staff members provide compassion and care to the individuals in the program while meeting their personal outcomes. Mangers must comply with all internal and external auditing, maintain the highest possible standards and follow up thoroughly with all recommendations. Managers must be professional in all interactions and use good communication skills. Managers are expected to follow the chain of command with any concerns, complete written follow up on all incident reports in an accurate and timely manner and turn them into your administrative contact for additional follow up and recommendations. Managers are required to complete all paperwork within required time frames while maintaining an organized workspace. Managers must be responsible to complete notes, memos and ongoing training information in the communication book to further assist with communication to all site staff. This position requires creativity and problem solving, you will interview, hire,train, coach and terminate staff as necessary. Managers must ensure shifts are covered to maintain DSPD contract compliance. You must be able to cover shifts as needed. You may be required to work an unspecified amount of hours and your schedule might be adjusted to meet the needs of the program participants. It is the managers responsibility to inform the Housing Director of all areas of medical urgency, hospital admission or procedures, health, safety or potential areas of liability for clients. Inform the Human Resource Director of all work related injuries or accidents and all suspensions or potential terminations of employees. Your cell phone must always be on, be covered by your Assistant Manager, or the Housing Director if you are unavailable. You must be able to respond without notice to non-routine and/or urgent needs of your site. Management experience, and knowledge of working with people with disabilities is a must. Schedule is Sunday through Thursday or Sunday through Wednesday
