SUMMARY:
Responsible for promoting and maintaining Founder’s Brewing Company security and property protection programs by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Secure Monitoring: Ensure all entrances and exits are secure. Monitor access control and camera systems, and physical locations for any security incidents, including drunkenness, fights, theft, and vandalism.
- Guest Interaction: Be the first point of contact for all Taproom guests when available. Project a welcoming
demeanor and enthusiastically greet all guests as they enter the Taproom.
- Incident Management: Identify and discreetly handle intoxicated or problematic patrons or people around the facility. Communicate with law enforcement and supervisor. Document incident and report them in a timely manner to manager. Develop relationship with local law enforcement.
- Safety Assurance: Ensure the safety of visitors. Accompany staff members to their vehicles at night upon request.
- Law Compliance: Understand and comply with Michigan laws regarding the sale of alcohol.
- Communication: Use a radio and headset to maintain clear communication with staff, adhering to radio etiquette and protocol.
- Facility Checks: Regularly check facility for contingencies. Ensure exterior doors are closed, lighting is appropriate, and grounds are clean.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Has high school education; or up to 12 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Understanding of security and access systems.
Other Qualifications
Ability to take initiative to identify, report, and resolve problems before they escalate. Prior bar/restaurant experience is preferred as well as the ability to have a flexible schedule to work days, nights, and weekends.
