Housekeeper | Part Time
BASIC FUNCTION:

The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that standards of cleanliness in all guest rooms are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service, within the established time limitations.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Housekeeping experience desirable.
- Neat, pleasant personality.
- Ability to work on feet for an extended period of time.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if necessary.
- Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to exert physical effort in transporting linen and supplies to guest room floors from housekeeping and using floor cleaning equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain the cleanliness of assigned guests’ rooms by high dusting of walls, vacuuming, servicing guestroom and bathroom by making beds (changing linen), replenishing bathroom amenities, full cleaning of entire bathroom and guestroom to highest possible standards during established time frames.
- Constant awareness of safety hazards (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons) and report to Floor Supervisor or the Housekeeping Office. Follow all training procedures set forth in the “Bloodborne Pathogens Program”.
- Practice safety standards at all times.
- Remain alert, courteous and helpful to guests and co-workers at all times.
- Prior to making beds, the room attendant shall inspect the mattress for any potential bed bugs. In the event there are any found, they should report it to the Executive Housekeeping Manager immediately so the room can be put out of order and treated to remove pests.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other related duties as requested by supervisors.
- Make improvement recommendations to supervisors.
ENVIRONMENT:
- Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces. Occasional outdoor work. Good ventilation with artificial lighting.
