POSITION TITLE: Community and Client Partner Specialist
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Fountain Fund Boston is seeking a collaborative, relationship-centered, and results-oriented individual to serve as our Community and Client Partner Specialist . This critical role supports the successful implementation of the Fountain Fund’s programs and the expansion of our impact in Boston. The Community and Client Partner Specialist (CCPS) will be the primary point of contact for all applicants, the connector to resources and community support, and the key communicator with all Client Partners. Together with the Site Director, the CCPS will facilitate the primary mission of the Fountain Fund (FF) which is to improve the lives of formerly incarcerated people through its low-interest lending program. The CCPS will build relationships and rapport with our Client Partners and encourage full participation and success at the Fountain Fund. The CCPS serves as a key FF representative in the community and a partnership broker with related service providers.
OVERVIEW OF THE FOUNTAIN FUND: The Fountain Fund’s mission is to increase economic opportunities for formerly incarcerated people to improve their lives and remain in their communities. We provide low-interest loans and financial coaching exclusively for formerly incarcerated individuals (who we refer to as our Client Partners), helping them build credit and achieve their self-determined goals. With offices in Charlottesville, VA; Richmond, VA; New Orleans, LA; Philadelphia, PA; and Boston, MA, we are dedicated to creating meaningful change across our communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Outreach
● Develop and implement community outreach programs and initiatives.
● Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and client partners.
● Create and distribute promotional materials to raise awareness about the organization and its initiatives.
● Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and informational sessions to strengthen partnerships and attract new Client Partners.
Relationship Management
● Oversee inquiries and conduct initial calls with potential Client Partners to assess eligibility. Schedule and conduct in person visits when appropriate.
● Together with the Site Director, manage the pipeline between the Fountain Fund and Reentry Partners or other reentry programs.
● Make referrals to partner organizations for applicants and Client Partners for additional resources and services needed.
● Manage the Client Partner pipeline, guiding applicants through the lending process.
● Oversee loan closings, including preparing and printing necessary documents (e.g., Loan Agreements, Commitment Letters, Security Agreements).
● Co-manage the loan collection process with the Site Director.
● Prepare Client Partner stationery files, which include signed loan documents, checklists, and resources connected to the Client Partner.
● Foster long-term relationships with Client Partners, providing ongoing support and connection to resources.
Qualifications & Skills
● Criminal justice involvement – you have experienced incarceration personally and can relate well to people who have been incarcerated
● Passion for The Fountain Fund’s mission, interest in being involved in a growing and learning organization, and a commitment to the Boston community
● Experience in non-profit organizations, community outreach programs, or related fields.
● Familiarity with financial literacy, budgeting, and money management principles.
● Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
● At least 2 years of experience in community outreach, client service, or program coordination. ● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Computer skills, including Microsoft, Google Suite, and CRM tools
● Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
● Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
● Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
