Handyman with Expertise in Home Remodeling

We are seeking an experienced and reliable handyman with expertise in home remodeling projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in finishing basements, remodeling kitchens, installing crown molding, and laying wood floors. This role requires a versatile professional who can handle a variety of home improvement tasks with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Basement Finishing:
   
   
   • Frame, insulate, and drywall basement walls.
   • Install flooring, lighting, and other fixtures as required.
   • Address electrical and plumbing needs in compliance with local codes.
2. Kitchen Remodeling:
   
   
   • Demolish and remove old cabinetry, countertops, and appliances.
   • Install new cabinets, countertops, backsplashes, and flooring.
   • Handle plumbing and electrical work for sinks, lighting, and appliances.
3. Crown Molding Installation:
   
   
   • Measure, cut, and install crown molding with precision.
   • Ensure seamless finishes and alignment.
4. Wood Floor Installation:
   
   
   • Prepare subfloors for installation.
   • Lay and secure wood or engineered flooring.
   • Sand, stain, and finish flooring as needed.
5. General Handyman Tasks:
   
   
   • Perform maintenance and repair work as needed.
   • Ensure safety and quality in all projects.
   • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in home remodeling, including finishing basements, kitchen renovations, and wood flooring installation.
• Strong carpentry skills, including proficiency with tools and materials.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and construction codes and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other home improvement tasks such as painting, tiling, or HVAC systems.
• Certification or training in construction, carpentry, or related fields.
• Customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
